Ann was 18 years old and engaged to a firefighter. Her father was a police man and they didn’t get along very well. One day Ann’s father invited Charlie to dinner and they started talking. As Ann was getting ready to go bowling with her fiance, her father had the idea to have Charlie tag along with her, and they went bowling together. The next weekend Charlie came over, but for lunch this time and Ann had to go down town to pay some bills. Charlie tags along once more. As they are passing a store, Ann saw this outfit she really likes. Ann goes into the building next door to pay off a bill and when she comes out of the building Charlie hands her the out fit she had her eye on. She tells him that’s she very happily engaged and that she isn’t one of those girls. Charlie tells her he’s engaged to a nun, and Ann laughs. A few months later of hanging out and becoming very close friends, Charlie gets on one knee and proposes. Ann is ecstatic but at the same time she needs some time to think about it. She chooses Charlie. Charlie then disappears for a weekend, he had to break up with the nun. Several months later Ann and Charlie get married. It’s now 2009 and Charlie has been dead for quite some time, and Ann has remarried but it’s not the same to her.
